Crossing the river in the Moonless Night

I remembered that horrible night. We three people were crossing the river at 09:oo PM. We were obliged to head to the another village from where we had gone. It was cold outside, the dark evening we reached there. I had responsibility toward the both girls who were my girl friend and so called sister-in-law. My sister-in-law had been from there before and she also had some supernatural powers that she can handle the patients who captured by the ghost or ill souls she was well known Mata.

We had reached the so called Baba's home at 7 o'clock in the evening. The Sadhu/Baba and his family members welcomed us. The village was located between the border of India and Nepal. There was a wide river between the municipality and that village had no access of electricity, it was dark around. Everything was going good first but meanwhile rude voice disturbed us and we found that Baba and his wife were quarreling inside the kitchen. Furiously Baba rushed to his temple nearby and chanting loudly, whether he confess in front of god. We tried to console his wife and his family. We were obliged to accept the situation but later we couldn’t.

I and my girlfriend murmuring something and my sister-in-law tried to console the Baba's wife. We heard a frightened voice coming from the nearby temple where Baba confessing. I frequently light toward the temple and shocked. He was trying to die by tight the rope around his neck. I lost my temper and frequently rushed to him and by holding his arm I dragged him outside from the temple area, I also shout on him. I was supposed to leave from there but was obliged to stay because of unknown village and two younger girls with me. But my sister-in-law forced to leave from there. We decided to go another village nearby where "Kirtan" ceremony was going on.
We headed to the another village which another side of the wide river. Baba and his aunt tied to apologize and request to stay there but we left from there.
It was dark night and that place was unidentified for me and my girl friend but was known by sister-in-law. We were going to the another village where “Kirtan” ceremony was held by the locals and my sister-in-law invited as a special guest being a Mata. We had to cross the huge river which was silent and low water level but seemed to be dangerous for the weak hearts. I had a multimedia mobile with torch light and a burning tire of bicycle as a guide. Meanwhile Baba follow us with another burning tyre and request us to follow him because he had known the right way to the village. We had no other option so we followed him. Lots of horrible talks playing into our mind but I had made myself stronger among us.

While crossing the river knee touching water was flowing with us. I was worried and concentrate toward my girl friend reason of her bad health. I had been holding both of their hands and burning tyre was hold by my girlfriend. Suddenly I realized that my sister-in-law loosing her balance and she was  being unconscious as well. I obliged to hold her tightly with all efforts. I supported her till we crossed the river and when we reached the bank of the river she fainted and hardily I dragged her till the ground and furiously leave her on the ground. I shouted on her with anger and something went wrong with me. My hands and body were trembling, perhaps I lost my temple. I harshly hold her arms and utter loudly. She opened her eyes and stand up I supported her to walk, meanwhile again she lost her balance.

Traveling Without Ticket

Are you from Nepal ?" this question made him surprise but I recognized him as my protector at that time. "Yes!" he curiously replied and we talked lot in own language. I explained how I suffered there and he could help me. I haven't any guidelines to return back to Delhi from Ahmedabad Railway station in Gujrat.
It is very difficult to leave our family, friends, relative and native land. I knew that time when I left my home. The worried and sad eyes of my parents had shown the reality of a low class family as their obligations. It was not my desire to leave my native land but was my obligation to handle my responsibilities which were and are always follow me. Whether I consoled my father by saying that he need not worry about me because my cousin brothers are there for me but how can I erase his experiences gained in another country as a worker for many years.
I also explain how I robbed in a train while I slept and when I waked up I found myself here in Gujrat. I have suspect on that guys who were sitting against me had sprinkled some poison-able thing and made me unconscious. Firstly he seemed as if he did not believe on my words but when he saw the pains and reality in my eyes and appearance he persuade. He put his hand in the pocket he only found Rs.50/- rupees and handed to me. His eyes were filled with kindness and sympathy for me. He also guided me how to return back through train to Delhi without ticket. I heartily thanked him and returned from the station.
Now I was traveling without ticket lot of ill-thinking were playing in my mind. I adjusted myself in the crowd of people in the train. It was my first experience in train, whenever I saw TT's (the men who check the tickets) I used to hide myself in the toilet of train's wagon.
Finally the train reached in Agra Railway station suddenly a TT officer enter in the wagon and unfortunately I and two other guys grabbed red handed. I tried to clarify but he shouted and brought us to the custody. He tried to get some money from us but we hadn't.

They four were cover by many police officers all are in a queue. One officer was asking questions one by one with them and punishes them too. I was curse my fate and pray to god inside. Finally its my turn and was standing in front of the officer, “Why you travel without ticket?” he asked me loudly, his eyes seemed to red in color with anger. “Please forgive me sir! Earlier station someone has stolen my purse and bag; therefore I hadn't money with me. I was obliged to travel without ticket because I have to go to Delhi.”I said anxiously.

“Where are you from?”  One of them questioned.

I introduced myself and explained all circumstances that happened with me honestly and without hesitations. I also added that I is a simple Nepali citizen who can do mistakes but never cheat or lie with others. “I think he is telling right sir!” one of them said to the inspector.

“He might right but traveling without ticket is punishable, he broke the law” inspector replied but after convincing some other officers he ordered junior officer to punish me. My punishment was to clean all the area of police station. I found myself lucky and internally thanked the officers who became positive with me. I worked hardily two three hours and an officer who pleased by my works gave me 100/- rupees and asked me to return.

I gladly returned back to Delhi to my cousin with the help of those hundred rupees and heartily thanked him.

I really thankful to the Nepali people who worked honestly in another country and introduce all Nepali as sign of honesty and hardworking.

Thanks

First Day of Job

Life has many meanings when we live with it. Lot of experiences we learn from the stages of life. Different circumstances in our daily life teach us to make our upcoming life stage easy and problem solving oriented.

I just want to share an experience.

I was finding a better job in a developed city. I was staying with my cousin and family. After many days of struggle I have selected in an interview. It was the first day on job, I reached at office sharp 8:00AM. It was a company of domestic pharmaceutical their purpose was to sell the Ayurveda herbal products in the market to the people who believe and trust on it. It was a marketing job.

I asked to go with a experienced or senior colleague who was a girl of same age as me. I was pleased to go with her but also anxious to think that I had only 30 rupees in my pocket. We had to go to the main market which was about 10 KM from the office. With the cheering face we headed to the market or industrial area. I planned that I will first pay the bus ticket fare before her but I was nervous from money shortage. We climb up in the bus which was full of passengers and we adjusted together. I was nervous because a girl was with me but I did not have enough money. I was somewhere feeling embarrassed but it was my first day in job. Bus fare was 10 Rs per head and I have on 30 Rupees. I was thinking all upcoming steps, meanwhile she quickly gave 20 Rs of fare to conductor and before my reaction on it she smiled and said "Don't worry ! its your first day at work and its your trip with me !". I obliged to say OK but was glad inside because she save my 20 rupees.

We reached in the industrial or official area of that city where lots of governmental and other people we met. She also taught me how to sell the Ayurveda medicines and how to deal with the buyers or customers. The whole day we wandered many office and places. We also spent some time in the park and shared lot of information about ourselves. She was really a good friend who made the whole day remarkable for me.
Now it was late afternoon we returned from the field by bus. And this time I was pleasant because I have all that 30 rupees with me. In the busy bus she was sitting after 3 seats of me. I paid 2o rupees for the 2 tickets by showing her to the conductor and he said "Bhai ! she already paid" and moved.

We reached in our stand and I requested her to take the fare charge from me because she already paid that time. She smiled and said "No ! its your first day at job I will take next time when you made some income. isn't it ?" I again tried but she refuse and I also thought that next day I will definitely pay. We went to the office and handed-over the all day collections and  leaved..

Next day I was selected on another job which was paying better and that was computer operator job. I leaved that job. I still remember that day and it brings smile on my face.

Thanks,

Bad Wandering soul

I was not aware the existence of ghost but after that I believe that.

It was the time of winder season me and my friends were playing on the ground located on the bank of Mahakali river beside our village. It was almost dark therefore we supposed to come back home but suddenly one of my friend fell down unconsciously. We shocked, because he was perfectly alright before that. We hold him by saying his name but he didn't woke up till five minutes. One of use sprinkled water on his face and after sometime he woke up. He seemed to be frightened but said "I am alright". We all              returned to our home.

I was laying on my bed it was almost dark outside. I heard a voice like someone calling horribly, I steadily run toward the voice it was the home of that guy who fainted while we were playing, all the neighbors had gathered. I shocked when I saw him, he was laying on the floor and trembling harshly. I tried to calm him down but failed. I told the all circumstances happened on the bank of the river. People conclude that he was grabbed by a ghost.
Me and my cousin brother asked to call a priest who was staying near our village. We went to his home with the help of torch light. I was deeply frightened by his behavior so that was following the steps of my cousin brother on the way.

After sometime we reached there with the priest I couldn't believed that he was laughing horribly and also showing unexpected expression on his face. Now I was conformed that he grabbed by the dangerous ghost. When he looked toward priest he stopped to laughing and started crying like a kid. Priest started to chanting mantras he aggressively tried to move toward him but he through grains of rice on him so he calm down for a while. But suddenly after some time he lay down on the floor and shouting then moved like a snake about one meter ahead. Priest again sprinkled grains on him and hardily he confess and said "I'm sorry please leave me ! please" and run to the ground like ghost himself running from there and we follow him but after 2 or 3 meter of distance he fell down unconsciously. And after sometime he woke up and said "what had happened with me ? why I am here". we walked to the home home and priest said that he was really grabbed by a bad wandering soul of the evening time.
